"That's How They Say It" Course

How can you stop feeling self-conscious about your voice and speech? How can you sound relaxed and confident—in front of an audience, on video, and in everyday life?

We invite you to Tanya Barnyak’s speech and voice course, “That’s How You Talk!”

Tanya Barnyak is an actress with the metazero theater troupe, a speech coach, a performer, and the creator of the “Books on Pillows” project. She has 15 years of stage experience and more than 8 years of teaching under her belt. Her approach helps you uncover your voice’s natural sound through work with the body, movement, and breathing.

This course is ideal for those who:

• want to enjoy the sound of their own voice
• speak in front of an audience or record videos
• want to convey their thoughts more clearly and confidently
• feel fatigue or strain in their voice after long conversations
• blog, teach, or lead meetings and negotiations
• simply want to speak more freely and confidently

In this course, we’ll:

• work on breathing so your voice sounds free and doesn’t get tired
• use movement and relaxation to release tension in the body
• work on diction, intonation, pauses, and emphasis
• improvise and learn to feel more confident in front of an audience
