Description

Artistic Event 'La Divina: Eternal Kalas'

Scheduled for June 17, 2025, at the White Palace, inspired by the life and legacy of the legendary opera diva Maria Kalas. This unique production, conceived by renowned international artist Pavel Kir, will feature internationally acclaimed soprano Maria Jelic and award-winning actress Katarina Radivojevic, providing guests with an unforgettable evening of live artistic expression, opera, and dramatic storytelling, with a focus on history, in the spirit of the elegance of the 1950s.

The artistic event begins at 9:00 pm, and guests will be welcomed in the spirit of classic 1950s elegance, with the option of arriving in 'vintage' cars and a warm welcome from the host in costumes of that time, creating an atmosphere of immersion into the world of Kalas.

The evening starts with an exclusive tour through the historical halls of the White Palace, a welcome drink, and a view of the royal garden, after which guests will attend a unique immersive spectacle in three acts.

Act I – 'Rising'

  • Live performance of the aria 'Casta Diva' by Bellini, interpreted by Maria Jelic with live painting by Pavel Kir – a painting reflecting Kalas' spiritual awakening.

Act II – 'Turning Point'

  • A powerful monologue by actress Katarina Radivojevic, combined with Maria Jelic's performance of the aria 'Vissi d’arte' by Puccini and live painting by Pavel Kir, revealing the inner struggles of the opera diva.

Act III – 'Memory'

  • A poignant farewell performance of 'Addio del passato' by Verdi performed by Maria Jelic, conveying the final echoes of Kalas' exceptional life, accompanied visually by Katarina Radivojevic and Pavel Kir.

All proceeds raised during the evening will be donated to the International Opera Foundation based in Serbia, in support of the next generation of Serbian artistic talents.
