The exhibition "Places of Retention" presents paintings, sculptures and objects that explore the traces contemporary visual culture leaves in everyday life. Starting from motifs taken from advertisements, popular culture and personal experience, the works address what remains after the initial fascination — objects, images and desires that continue to exist and change their meaning over time. Through paintings, ceramics, fur and objects made of polyurethane foam, the exhibition opens a space between the attractive and the unsettling, the natural and the artificial. "Places of Retention" are not concrete locations, but spaces where memories, expectations and images of the world around us accumulate.
