Free time is often experienced as a break from obligations, recreation, or a moment to relax.
However, more and more research shows that the way we spend our free time plays an important role in maintaining mental health.
Books, music, films, theatre, exhibitions, concerts, and sports are not just activities that entertain us. They help us reduce stress, regulate emotions, better understand ourselves, and feel a sense of belonging and connection with others.
In a time of daily pressures, a fast-paced life, and constant availability, free time becomes a space for personal choice, inner balance, and psychological recovery.
We will talk about why free time is not wasted time but an important ally of mental health on Coffee with a Psychologist, on Monday, June 29, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, at Dorćol Platzu.
Our speakers are Ivana Stepanović Ilić, psychologist; Branko Rosić, journalist and writer; and Srdan Golubović, director.
