A new study of Fortune 500 companies has shown: the higher a leader's level of narcissism, the more strongly they oppose remote work.
And it's not about a love of face-to-face interaction, team spirit, or corporate culture. Researchers concluded that the main factor turned out to be the drive for status, control, and admiration from others. When employees work from home, they are harder to control, and the leader themselves receives less attention and less of a sense of power.
