Disasters, whether natural or planned, leave behind little. Fire announces itself with smoke signals and devours everything in its view, while a building's collapse is recognized by a sudden fall, a feeling of helplessness, and clouds of dust. The change of state is instantaneous. What remains after the devastation?

The exhibition 'New Development' focuses on urban zones ravaged by collapse, fire, or gradual decay. The photographed locations are not part of the same architectural complex or the same street, but belong to a shared route shaped by the daily movements of the artist and her fellow citizens. The condition of the structures has been monitored over an extended period of time, while the artistic process itself forms a map of personal memories.
