Catastrophes, whether natural or deliberate, leave little behind. Fire announces itself with plumes of smoke and devours everything in its vicinity, while the collapse of a structure is recognized by a sudden failure, a feeling of helplessness, and clouds of dust. The change of state is instantaneous. What remains after the devastation?

The exhibition "Novogradnja" ("New Development") focuses on urban zones laid waste by collapse, fire, or gradual decay. The photographed sites are not part of the same architectural complex nor the same street, but belong to a shared route shaped by the daily movements of the artist and her fellow residents. The condition of the buildings has been followed over an extended period, while the artistic process itself forms a map of personal memories.
