Disasters, whether natural or man-made, leave little behind. Fire announces itself with smoke signals and consumes everything in its path, while the collapse of a building is marked by a sudden fall, a feeling of helplessness, and clouds of dust. The change of state is instantaneous. What remains after the devastation?

The exhibition ‘Novogradnja’ focuses on urban areas ravaged by collapse, fire, or gradual decay. The photographed sites are not part of the same architectural complex or the same street, but belong to a shared route shaped by the daily movements of the artist and her fellow citizens. The condition of the structures has been tracked over an extended period, while the artistic process itself forms a map of personal memories.
