Permafrost

Permafrost is an opera trilogy in the genre of metahuman opera: a new theatrical language in which live opera singers perform alongside digital characters, combined with video projections, an orchestra, and electronic music, all within a single physical space. The theme is “moments when a person confronts time, the apocalypse, and their own disappearance.” The project consists of three interconnected operas performed in a single evening. The production features seven professional opera singers, a string orchestra, a conductor, and electronic musicians, plus a team of digital artists and video producers.
