Petrushevskaya — a meeting with Lyudmila Petrushevskaya
Description
For the first time in Belgrade — Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, the 88-year-old ‘living classic’ of Russian literature
Dmitry Bykov called her “the best of the Russian writers now living.” Her plays have been staged at the Moscow Art Theatre (MKhAT), Sovremennik and Taganka. You may know her for Piglet Petya and “Pusskam Byatym.”
For the first time in Belgrade — Lyudmila Petrushevskaya, the 88-year-old ‘living classic’ of Russian literature.
On this evening Lyudmila Stefanovna will present several chapters from an adventure novel about her own life and will sing songs about love. It will be the story of a wondrous and invincible love of life that links several eras — and the reciprocal love that audiences around the world feel for “one of the most audible voices of contemporary literature in the world,” according to The New Yorker.
Attendees will also be able to see an exhibition of Lyudmila Petrushevskaya’s paintings and attend an autograph session.
