"Lungs" by British author Duncan Macmillan is not just a drama about two people. It is a drama about all of us. About a generation suffocating under conflicting information, insecurity, and the attempt to be "good" while the world around them becomes increasingly complicated. At Opera and Theater Madlenianum, Small Stage, directed by Ivan Vuković, this two-hander is performed without scenery, without costumes, but with full lungs — because what happens between the two actors, Suzana Lukić and Goran Jevtić, is life itself.

In ninety minutes, an entire relationship unfolds before the audience — from the first conversation about parenthood, through pregnancy, loss, infidelity, reconciliation, to old age. Without an intermission, without a pause, just as we breathe. Their lines are witty, painful, lucid, recognizable. Their struggle is our struggle. Their questions are the ones we ask ourselves.
