Raven (concert in Belgrade)
Description
Classic British metal in Belgrade: 3 September
Pioneers of the NWOBHM and one of the most influential bands in the history of classic heavy metal — performing in Belgrade for the first time on 3 September. The band was formed in 1974 in Newcastle by brothers John Gallagher (vocals, bass) and Mark Gallagher (guitar). Together with their first drummer Rob "Wacko" Hunter they recorded the classic albums "Rock Until You Drop", "Wiped Out" and "All for One", which had a huge influence on the development of speed and thrash metal.
It was Raven who in 1983 invited the then little-known Metallica on the joint tour "Kill ’Em All for One", an important milestone in the history of heavy music. Today the core of the band remains brothers John and Mark Gallagher, with virtuoso Mike Heller on drums, also known for his work with Fear Factory and Malignancy.
The Belgrade show will feature iconic tracks from across their career, powerful live sound and the very "athletic rock" that made Raven's concerts legendary. After the performance fans can look forward to an autograph session and the opportunity to meet the musicians in person.
