Dog Club in the Auditorium: talking about dog breeds and their characteristics

Dog Club in the Auditorium: talking about dog breeds and their characteristics

Why did some dogs herd sheep for centuries, others guard houses, and others fit in a lady’s handbag? How did breeds originate and what really lies behind their names and descriptions?

At the third meeting of the Dog Club we will talk about how different breeds were developed, what they were intended for, and how they differ from one another. We will recall the most unusual breeds and find out whether breed determines a dog’s character. To what extent are behavior and temperament linked to breed traits, and to what extent do they depend on the individual, experience, and the environment in which the dog grows up?

And if you are only planning to get a dog, we will go over how to read breed descriptions, which features to pay attention to, and how to understand which dog will suit you best.
