International Tambura Festival, "Tamburica Fest"

Held in Novi Sad as an event with a unique concept and cultural mission of promoting tambura music and the tamburitza as an instrument, as well as nurturing tradition, collaboration, and friendships among artists at an international level.

Festival Program

• Each year, orchestras from the country and abroad compete for the title of the best in the competitive part of the program.
• In addition to the competition for the best orchestra of the World Tamburica Fest, vocal soloists from around the world participate in the selection for the best original festival song.

Opening Festival Day

The opening festival day takes place in the center of Novi Sad at Liberty Square with a parade of cultural-artistic societies, folklore ensembles, and tambura orchestras.

And this September, Novi Sad will be adorned with the sounds of the tamburitza and old carriages, the colors of traditional folk costumes, the scents of traditional Vojvodina cakes, and the flavors of the most beautiful wines from Fruska Gora.

Additional Program

In addition to the well-known program:

• Competitions of tamburitza ensembles from around the world.
• Mondovisions with participants from 15 countries.
• The audience can expect many surprises, performances by young and veteran orchestras, special guests, concerts by the biggest local and regional stars.

The last day of the festival is reserved for the World Tambura Association Congress.
