Jamaican Music Party

Large-scale music party at FAKS

About the event

On Thursday a large-scale music party will take place at FAKS dedicated to the culture of Jamaican music and bringing together the local reggae-ska community. The six-hour program will start at 8:00 PM and continue until 2:00 AM. Performers on the decks and on the mics include Pera Irie, DJ Slink, King Calypso, as well as Педжа Скаковац and the Skalamerija Sound System crew. Musicians are preparing DJ sets and vinyl selections that will combine a wide range of Jamaican music styles: ska, rocksteady, skinhead-reggae, roots, dub, dancehall, afrobeat, jungle, and Yugoslav reggae-dub. Organizers promise an atmosphere of complete unity, powerful energy, and only good vibrations. Entry — donation. Venue: Faks.
