Author & Punisher (Author & Punisher) is the project of American musician and engineer Tristan Shone; an industrial machine where sound is produced using handmade mechanical instruments.

Shone trained as a mechanical engineer and builds heavy controllers from steel and aluminium himself: levers, rails, frames with motorized elements. During performances he physically pushes and pulls them, controlling synthesizers, drum machines and effects. The sound literally comes from physical effort — which is a significant element of the project's aesthetic.

Genre-wise, Author & Punisher is a blend of industrial, doom metal, drone and noise: slow, crushing rhythms, low-tuned synthesizers, dense distortion and dark vocals.

King Yosef (King Yosef) is another one-man project, also American — Taylor Cassidy. King Yosef combines heavy industrial beats, guitar noise, broken rhythms and screaming vocals, almost on the verge of collapse. In his music you can hear echoes of Nine Inch Nails, Godflesh, Youth Code, as well as the influence of contemporary hardcore and the DIY scene.

In short, get ready — on July 2 at KC Grad it's going to be very intense and loud!
