Hi there! This is Ksenia and my conversation club for anxious folks🫣 Every Sunday, we get together to use English for its intended purpose: to chat, debate, and joke around ☺️

This Sunday, against the backdrop of the scandal surrounding a certain course on medieval music (if you missed it all, here’s a brief summary and some thoughts on the topic), we’ll talk about popular science.

• 🔭 What standards should we hold experts to when they’re bringing the light of knowledge to the masses?
• 🔭 Is it okay to add a little imagination to dry facts so the audience doesn’t fall asleep?
• 🔭 Where exactly is the line between “serious” science and its popular version?

Class Schedule

Group B2-C1: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Group A2-B1: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

About the Organizer

I, Ksenia Eremina, lead the meetings. I’m an experienced teacher, the author and host of the podcast Show Your Tongue, and a three-time emigrant. This conversation club started with a desire to step outside the four walls and meet real people, but over the past three years, it has turned into a real community of the coolest people.
