Exhibition description

The exhibition brings together photographs, paintings, and video works through which the artist explores themes of uncertainty, vulnerability, and violence. The works probe the boundary between the threatening and the threatened subject, as well as between the injured and the performative body, while also raising questions about the origins of movement and the forces that set it in motion, their impact on the body or a structure, and the consequences they leave behind. Movement thus emerges as a multivalent space in which relations between control, resistance, and vulnerability are in constant flux.

About the artist

Vladimir Janić (1998) completed his BA and MA at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He is the recipient of the Department of Fine Arts Annual Award for the New Art Media program (2021) and the Special Award at the 9th World Biennale of Photography (2023). Since 2022, he has been part of the organizing team of the art association Projekat EXP, and since 2026 he has served on the Artistic Council of Galerija SULUV and SULUJ. Vladimir’s photographic work has been published in print and digital outlets, including Fotografiska, Zone Magazine, and Fisheye Magazine.
