Exhibition description

The exhibition brings together photography, painting and video works through which the artist explores uncertainty, vulnerability and violence. The works probe the line between the threatening and the threatened subject, as well as between the injured and the performative body, while opening up questions about the origins of movement and the forces that set it in motion, their impact on the body or on structure, and the consequences they leave behind. Movement thus emerges as a multivalent field in which the relations between control, resistance and vulnerability are in constant flux.

About the artist

Vladimir Janić (1998) completed his BA and MA studies at the Akademija umetnosti in Novi Sad, where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He is the recipient of the Department of Fine Arts Annual Award for the study program Novi likovni mediji (2021) and the Special Award at the 9. Svetskom bijenalu fotografije (2023). Since 2022 he has been part of the organizing team of the artists’ association Projekat EXP, and since 2026 a member of the Art Council of Galerija SULUV and SULUJ. Vladimir’s photographic works have been published in print and digital media, including Fotografiska, Zone Magazine, and Fisheye Magazine.
