Movement and Spasm - Vladimir Janić

Exhibition "Movement and Grief" by Vladimir Janić at Gallery Kula from November 5 to 22, 2026.

Opening

November 5 at 7 PM | 15 Cetinjska Street, Belgrade

The exhibition brings together photographic, painting, and video works in which the author explores the themes of uncertainty, vulnerability, and violence. The works question the boundary between the threatening and the vulnerable subject, as well as between the injured and the performative body, while also raising questions about the origin of movement and the forces that cause it, their impact on the body or structure, and the consequences they leave behind. Thus, movement emerges as a polysemous space where the relationships between control, resistance, and vulnerability are constantly changing.

He is the recipient of the Annual Award of the Department of Visual Arts for the New Visual Media study program (2021) and a Special Award at the 9th World Photography Festival (2023). Since 2022.
