Movement and Spasm - Vladimir Janić

Exhibition “Movement and Spasm” by Vladimir Janić at Kula Gallery from 5 to 22 November 2026.

Opening

5 November at 7 PM | Cetinjska 15, Belgrade

Exhibition description

The exhibition brings together photographic, painting and video works in which the artist explores themes of uncertainty, vulnerability and violence. The works examine the boundary between the threatening and the threatened subject, as well as between the wounded and the performative body, while also raising questions about the origin of movement and the forces that cause it, their impact on the body or structure, and the consequences they leave behind. Movement thus appears as a polysemous space in which relations between control, resistance and vulnerability are constantly shifting.
