Roma Liberov - Presentation at Auditoria Belgrade

Auditoria Belgrade

⚡️Roma Liberov at the Auditoria

On April 13, we invite you to a presentation of the poetry collection 'Doomed to any role' and a meeting with director and producer Roma Liberov.

The collection 'Doomed to any role' is an attempt to hear the voices of those who were almost unnoticed. The book includes poems by 36 poets of the first half of the 20th-century emigration - a generation scattered across Paris, Berlin, Belgrade, Prague, and New York, outside the canon and outside their homeland.

The destinies of these authors unexpectedly rhyme with the experiences of today's new wave of emigration: texts written in exile a hundred years ago sound like testimonies that are only now finding their readers.

At the meeting, we will talk about:

• 🤩 the 'unnoticed' generation of poets and their fates
• 🤩 poetry as a means of survival in exile
• 🤩 parallels between different waves of emigration
• 🤩 why and how to bring back these voices today
