The "Spiritualist Séance" Mystery Quest

London, 1872. A time when communicating with the spirits of the deceased had become almost commonplace. Among the many mediums, Monsieur Poitiers, a medium of French origin, is particularly well-known; he is said to have even made contact with Richard the Lionheart himself!

It was to him that detectives from Scotland Yard decided to turn, hoping that the medium would help them unravel a complex case.

A week ago, a well-known industrialist and owner of the East India Trading Company—Lord Cornwall—was murdered. His body was found beneath the windows of his own home, as if he had thrown himself out of the window. Nevertheless, the Scotland Yard detectives are convinced that it was a premeditated murder. They have even managed to arrest three suspects. However, crucial details of the crime are missing to pin the blame on any one person. It is precisely these details that Detective Miles wants to learn from the murdered lord through the medium.

All suspects, Detective Miles, and several interested parties have been invited to a séance at the Poitiers Salon…
