Traditional Balkan Jewelry from the 18th to the Early 20th Century
Description
Exhibition: 260 exhibits from museum collections
Visitors will be presented with 260 exhibits from museum collections, a significant portion of which previously belonged to the private collection of the artist and graphic designer Lyuba Ivanović. The exhibition will include traditional Balkan jewelry:
- belt buckles (pafts)
- headdresses (tepeluks)
- decorative belts
- earrings
- breast pendants
An important part of the project will be the integration of historical heritage into contemporary fashion — in a separate hall the brand Hota Hota will present a contemporary designer interpretation of the traditional forms of pafts and tepeluks. During the exhibition, which runs until February 28, the museum has scheduled a series of themed lectures.
