Description
Children's play "Karijus i Baktus"
The story of Karijus and Baktus is a modern Norwegian fairy tale about two mischievous little imps who live in the mouths of kids who don’t brush their teeth. Inside those teeth they drill tunnels and build houses with living rooms and bedrooms, balconies, and garages for their gingerbread cars. These cheerful, quirky antiheroes are delighted when sweets and toffees tumble into the mouth of Jeca, the girl who’s their newest host, and they despair when Jeca brushes her teeth or goes to the dentist—when the fearsome toothbrush, or worse, the even scarier drill, invades their home. In the end, Karijus and Baktus are thrown out of Jeca’s mouth, and the happiest of all is Jeca, whose teeth don’t hurt anymore. The production was made possible with the support of the Royal Norwegian Embassy.
