Sad Puppy

Children's play "Sad Puppy"

Story

This is the tale of little Tobi, a sad puppy who’s unhappy because other dogs tease him for his skinny body, crooked legs, big ears... Feeling crushed, he goes to a painter who also paints animals and pours his heart out. The painter quickly understands and comes up with a way to help. He suggests that Tobi visit the zoo and ask the animals how he should look so others wouldn’t make fun of him anymore. Of course, the painter is the main organizer of that zoo, and with the help of his paintings he stages all the events and Tobi’s encounters with the animals.

In the end, Tobi decides he wants to stay just the way he is, because if he did what they advised, he admits he’d look like a monster. Finally, the painter and Tobi reach a shared conclusion: everyone should be exactly who they truly are. The show opened the International Festival "Pozorišni val" in Petrovac (Montenegro).
