My Granddad Was a Cherry Tree (stand-up)

My Granddad Was a Cherry Tree

A show for those who’ve already grown up. And for those who are just about to.

Based on Angela Nanetti’s bestselling novel of the same name!

Tonino steps on stage to tell the story of his granddad. Funny, absurd, and very much alive. A story about a man who talked to trees, befriended a goose, taught his grandson to climb a cherry tree, and once explained why the people we love never really disappear.

“My Granddad Was a Cherry Tree” is a theatrical stand-up where humor unexpectedly turns into memory, and memory becomes a conversation about the people dearest to us.

It’s a show about the grandparents we love. About time, which always ends up being shorter than we wish. About home, which sometimes stays far away. And about how true closeness can’t be measured in kilometers.
