My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree (stand-up)

A show for those who’ve already grown up. And for those who are just getting there

A stage adaptation of Angela Nanetti’s bestselling book of the same name!

Tonino steps on stage to tell the story of his grandfather. Funny, absurd, full of life. A story about a man who talked to trees, befriended a goose, taught his grandson to climb a cherry tree, and once explained why the people we love never really disappear.

“My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree” is a theatrical stand-up where humor unexpectedly turns into memory, and memory becomes a conversation about the people dearest to us.

It’s a show about the grandparents we love. About time, which always turns out to be shorter than we wish. About home, which sometimes stays far away. And about how real closeness can’t be measured in kilometers.
