Jovanča's Journey Around the World

Director's Note:

There are Serbs all over the world; it was like that in Nušić's time and it is so today. Through absurd political satire, with dance and music, we show that nowhere in the world is ideal, that swindlers are the same everywhere, that we forget to be happy and cheerful, and that politics (essentially) does not change. It is our mirror. In the play we subtly show what we are like in different situations, with subtle humor. Comedy should be performed seriously, with depth, so that we achieve a bitter comedy!
