About the exhibition

The exhibition brings together photographic, painterly, and video works through which the artist explores themes of uncertainty, vulnerability, and violence. The works probe the line between threatening and threatened subjects, and between the wounded and the performative body, while opening questions about the origins of movement and the forces that set it in motion, their impact on a body or structure, and the consequences they leave behind. Movement thus appears as a multi-layered space in which the relations between control, resistance, and vulnerability are constantly shifting.

Vladimir Janić

Vladimir Janić (1998) completed his BA and MA studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He is the recipient of the Department of Fine Arts Annual Award for the New Art Media program (2021) and the Special Award at the 9th World Biennial of Photography (2023). Since 2022 he has been part of the organizing team of the art association Projekat EXP, and since 2026 he has served on the Art Council of SULUV Gallery and SULUJ Gallery. Janić’s photographic works have been published in print and digital outlets, including Fotografiska, Zone Magazine, and Fisheye Magazine.
