About the exhibition

The exhibition brings together works in photography, painting, and video through which the artist explores themes of uncertainty, vulnerability, and violence. The works probe the boundary between the threatening and the threatened subject, as well as between the wounded and the performative body, while raising questions about the origin of movement and the forces that set it in motion, their impact on the body or a structure, and the consequences they leave behind. Movement thus appears as a multivalent space in which the relations between control, resistance, and vulnerability are in constant flux.

About the artist

Vladimir Janić (b. 1998) completed his undergraduate and master studies at the Akademija umetnosti in Novi Sad, where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He is the recipient of the Department of Fine Arts Annual Award for the New Art Media study program (2021) and the Special Award at the 9th World Biennial of Photography (2023). Since 2022 he has been part of the organizing team of the art association Projekat EXP, and since 2026 a member of the Artistic Council of Galerije SULUV i SULUJ. Vladimir’s photographic works have been published in print and digital outlets, including Fotografiska, Zone Magazine, and Fisheye Magazine.
