Pokret i grč - Vladimir Janić

Exhibition “Pokret i Grč” by Vladimir Janić at Galerija Kula, November 5–22, 2026.

Opening

November 5 at 7 pm | Cetinjska 15, Belgrade

The exhibition brings together photographs, paintings, and video works through which the artist explores uncertainty, vulnerability, and violence. The works probe the line between the threatening and the threatened subject, as well as between the injured and the performative body, while also opening up questions about where movement originates and what forces set it in motion, how they act on a body or a structure, and the traces they leave behind. Movement appears as a multivalent field in which the relations between control, resistance, and vulnerability are in constant flux.

Vladimir Janić (1998) completed his BA and MA at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where he is currently pursuing a doctorate. He is the recipient of the Department of Fine Arts Annual Award for the New Art Media study program (2021) and the Special Award at the 9th World Biennial of Photography (2023). Since 2022 he has been part of the organizing team of the art association Projekat EXP, and since 2026 a member of the Artistic Council of Galerija SULUV and SULUJ. Vladimir’s photographic works have appeared in print and online, including Fotografiska, Zone Magazine, and Fisheye Magazine.
