Svetlost and John Dikman with Crno Dete

Tomorrow at Kvaka 22: free jazz and noise rock

The rhythm section of Macedonian group Svetlost — Instagram, one of the strongest on the region's creative jazz scene, takes the stage together with American saxophonist John Dikman. Dikman is a notable figure in European free improvisation; he has played with William Parker, Hamid Drake and Joe McPhee. The rhythm section drives an unpredictable sound that builds and collapses into chaos, while Dikman's saxophone flits between dark jazz, punk, psychedelia and noise. The program includes new pieces the musicians developed in Portugal.

Crno Dete

The legendary Belgrade trio Crno Dete — Instagram: guitar, drums and saxophone; noise rock, Balkan and Middle Eastern motifs, and free improvisation.
