The sound of Europe from the time of Miguel de Cervantes will come alive on historical instruments in the hands of Spanish artist Rafael Arjona Ruz in the center of Novi Sad.

The program Music from the Time of Cervantes will transport you to the musical world of the 16th and 17th centuries – a time when various European traditions, styles and influences met. From the poignant sound of the vihuela and lute to the vivid character of the baroque guitar, the concert reveals the richness of the music of one of the most exciting periods of European cultural history.

As part of this project, Days of Baroque Music (2–14 October) continue to build connections between Serbia and Spain, developing cooperation with Spanish artists and cultural institutions.

The visit of Rafael Arjona Ruz is carried out with the support of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) as part of the Program for the Internationalization of Spanish Culture (PICE), and also with the support of the Embassy of Spain in Serbia and AECID.
