Scientific masterclass: The Roots of Geology in Serbia

Scientific masterclass at the Natural History Museum on Kalemegdan

On Saturday the Natural History Museum on Kalemegdan will host a scientific masterclass for children aged 8 to 12, tied to the new exhibition The Roots of Geology in Serbia.

Program

1. The event will begin with a short tour dedicated to the geological structure of Serbia and the formation of rocks.
2. Then the children will examine the structure of rocks under a microscope, after which they will transfer the observed patterns and colors onto paper in an art workshop.
3. The program will be led by Professor Dr. Kristina Šarić — vice-dean for research and marketing at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade.
