Evanora:Unlimited (aka Marjorie S.C. Sinclair) makes her debut in Serbia!

Hailing from the American trap underground (Reptilian Club Boyz), Orion Ohana Evanora Unlimited Bandcamp (b. 2000) speaks vaguely about his projects—“entities inhabiting a psychedelic saga where erotic sci-fi mutates into religious body horror.” Skinny Puppy on minimal beats.

That said, all of this is presented without any pretension—take it or leave it. Many do believe—Evanora has collaborated with Ecco2k and Yves Tumor, one of his albums Marine Photosynthesis was produced by Andy Morin (Death Grips), and he’s got sold-out tours with Boy Harsher and Elias Rønnenfelt (Iceage) under his belt—so it’s not entirely clear who’s “opening” for whom anymore.

Consequently, the sound here isn’t exactly top-notch either—cheap industrial (in the Canadian sense) built on a trap beat turned inside out, and sometimes it’s just tear-jerking ballads with thuggish chords or even a prayer in broken Russian.

But the main thing is—you’ve got to see it for yourself! Not just live, where Evanora always has a flawless look and swag—music videos also play an important role. Music video on YouTube An overload of Eastern European vibes in mono-no-aware mode, steampunk in a hot tub with a katana, Video: mAyPK1MeBKA — it seems like his universe really does breathe, and in it, we laugh in a whole new way. On November 7 at “Karmakoma,” you’ll have a chance to see this for yourself.
