Stephen King Goes to the Movies. Lecture

Stephen King Goes to the Movies. Lecture.

Do you love Stephen King? Directors, for example, simply adore him. Four hundred films have been made based on the King’s works! It’s enough to mention 'It', 'The Shawshank Redemption', 'The Green Mile'.

Writer and winner of the 'Masters of Horror' award Maxim Kabir has prepared for cinephiles and King fans a long lecture 'Stephen King Goes to the Movies'. From the seventies to the present, from outright trash to top TV series.

• Why did King dislike 'The Shining' by Stanley Kubrick so much?
• How did he reinterpret a creation of Lars von Trier?
• Why didn't a first-rate writer become a first-rate director?
• Is the claim that 'good Stephen King adaptations are the exception rather than the rule' true? The Saturday lecture will cover all this and much more.
